PaceLab (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by PaceLab.

Data Collection and Usage

Our philosophy is simple: Your data belongs to you.

• Local Processing: PaceLab processes your motion data (accelerometer and gyroscope readings) locally on your Apple Watch to calculate bowling speed and rotation. This raw sensor data is not transmitted to our servers.

• No Account Required: You do not need to create an account to use PaceLab. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate specific features of the app. These partners generally process data in a way that does not personally identify you.

1. RevenueCat (Subscriptions) We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.

• Data Collected: Purchase history, anonymous App User IDs, and device identifiers.

• Purpose: To validate your subscription status and restore purchases across your devices.

2. Apple HealthKit PaceLab integrates with Apple’s HealthKit to save your bowling sessions as “Workouts.”

• Data Access: We request permission to write workout data to the Health app and read basic activity data to contribute to your Activity Rings.

• Privacy: This data is stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud (encrypted). PaceLab does not share your HealthKit data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Disclaimer

PaceLab is for entertainment and training purposes only. While we use advanced algorithms to estimate speed and rotation, PaceLab is not a calibrated scientific instrument. Sensor accuracy can vary based on watch placement, arm speed, and hardware generation. Do not use this app for medical diagnosis or critical decision-making.

Subscriptions & Payments

PaceLab offers a “Pro” subscription that unlocks advanced features.

• Payment: Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings at any time.
